Bricktown Water Taxi

Bricktown Water Taxi in Oklahoma City. Float the canal, then pick a canal-side spot for dinner.

Ride the water taxi along the canal through Oklahoma City's old warehouse district while the guide tells stories about the neighborhood. Each pick a restaurant patio from the boat, then walk back and vote on where to eat. At the end of the canal, find the giant Land Run sculptures. The photo to get: the two of you with the bronze horses and wagons charging behind you.

About this place

The canal opened in 1999 as part of a big project to bring downtown back to life, and Bricktown's brick warehouses became restaurants, shops and a ballpark.

The Centennial Land Run Monument, at the canal's south end, is one of the biggest bronze sculptures in the world. It shows settlers racing to claim land in the 1889 Land Run. The water taxis run most of the year, with shorter hours off-season.
