Spider-Eye Safari
Spider eye safari. Hold a light by your eyes at night and find the sparkles in the grass.
On a warm night, put on a headlamp or hold a flashlight level with your eyes and sweep it slowly over the lawn or a garden bed. Those tiny blue-green sparkles that look like dew are wolf spider eyes shining back at you. Walk toward one to find its owner, count the sparkles in one patch, and hunt for the biggest spider and any other eyeshine. Look closely but don't touch, and leave every spider where it is. Get a photo of the headlamp crew ready to set out.
